Is it true that the President of Nigeria traveled to the United Kingdom?

The Presidency has denied reports making rounds on the internet that “President Muhammadu Buhari and his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, have been flown out of the country for treatment of coronavirus (COVID-19).” Garba Shehu, spokesman to the president, said through his Facebook page that the audio recording making the suggestion is “fake”.

Did Buhari test positive for COVID-19?

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has tested negative for the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus), following a test for the disease that was carried out on 23rd March 2020 on the president by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

What is COVID-19?

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing.

You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

Did SARS official brutally murder the a footballer Ogun state?

Tiyamu Kazeem, a defender of Remo Stars FC in Ogun state had been arrested by a Special Anti-robbery squad(SARS) operative and it is reported that while conveying Kazeem and a teammate to their station he was pushed out of the vehicle and crushed by an incoming vehicle. Other reports claim Kazeem was knocked down while trying to escape. However the operative involved has been recommended for dismissal.

No. A traveller had wrongly informed the public on Saturday, February 22nd that fulani herdsmen had killed at least 10 persons in Igbogi village causing a blockage and massive build up of vehicles on the road. It was however confirmed that the gridlock was due to a protest by the villagers after they discovered the corpse of one of their own who had been kidnapped earlier.

Has Donald Trump finally banned Nigerians from receiving immigration visas?

Yes. POTUS has finally confirmed the ban on Nigeria which will see to it that Nigerians seeking for immigration visas are declined. A presidential proclamation on January 31 cited Nigeria’s failure to comply with security and information sharing requirements, and its high “terror” risk to the US as reasons for imposing the restriction. However the ban will come into effect on February 21st,2020.

Has America’s President Trump been impeached?

Yes, he has. But in the USA impeachment is a two-stage process which requires the House and the Senate having to vote to impeach a president who has been accused of unacceptable wrongdoing.

Only the House has voted to have President Donald Trump impeached on two articles– abuse of power and obstructing congress.

This happened on December 18, 2019 and it’s expected that the Senate will have their own hearing sessions and eventual voting later in 2020.
